Hosting and managed services for the Sandaya Group booking platform (outdoor hospitality)

The Sandaya Group entrusted Codéin with the hosting and managed services of its booking platform. The website is the company’s main source of revenue. The stakes are particularly high during key periods such as Black Friday, when the website can generate up to €1 million in one hour. Smooth browsing and server stability are therefore essential prerequisites for handling these traffic volumes without any loss of revenue.

To support and secure its growth, Sandaya entrusted its managed services to Codéin in 2019, as the previous provider lacked responsiveness and technical expertise.

• The infrastructure is based on two physical servers distributed across two separate data centers.
• Under normal operating conditions, traffic to sandaya.fr is routed to the Gravelines data center.
• A daily replication of the production virtual server is performed to the Roubaix site.
• The selected configuration provides for D-1 backups, as requested by the client, with the option of H-1 snapshots.
• In the event of an incident at Gravelines, the Roubaix server is activated with an IP address failover in under 5 minutes, without any DNS changes.
• Server data is also backed up on a third site in Strasbourg.
• The Roubaix data center also hosts the integration environment.
