Sensitive data, hosting, and managed services for the Quai des Notaires platform

Essentiel Notaires is a fast-growing French LegalTech company specializing in the digital transformation of the notarial profession. With a team of around 50 employees, the company has established itself as a major player in the sector, equipping nearly 24% of notarial offices in France, representing more than 8,500 daily users. After initially engaging us to supervise the Quai des Notaires platform, we were subsequently asked to manage its hosting and infrastructure operations. As the platform handles highly sensitive data, we had to ensure service continuity, sovereign SecNumCloud-certified hosting, and high availability (contractual SLA of 99.8%).

We implemented a continuous deployment pipeline with a Blue/Green strategy to avoid any service interruption. With this strategy, new versions of the application are deployed sequentially to one server and traffic is switched to it. We then update a second server and distribute traffic across both servers.

The deployment procedure was automated using GitLab CI and Ansible to make deployments more reliable and prevent human error.

A dedicated VPN was set up to secure access to the infrastructure, and an internal dashboard provides monitoring of operational KPIs.

For hosting, the platform runs on an OVH Private Cloud infrastructure consisting of 4 physical servers and around thirty virtual servers.

Essentiel Notaires initially approached us to supervise its Quai des Notaires platform. Following a successful collaboration, Essentiel Notaires then entrusted us with the hosting and infrastructure management of its entire platform, including the Quai des Notaires platform and its corporate website.
